Little update...
08 August 2008

Shout out to all on Messages Deleted! we have had such a great time on this film. I'm all cut up and bruised from stunts etc, but so worth it.

Listening to the new N.E.R.D cd right now. 'Seeing Sounds'

Obsessing about 'Batman' it was the raddest film ever! Obviously Heath was amazing, but the entire thing was just awesome. I'm going to see it again, ASAP!

Eating french food from 'Farfalla' in Vancouver. French. Yummy coffee...

Back to LA soon for a little business, but starting a new series that film's in Vancouver so back and forth as usual.

Thanks for all the letters you guys---they mean so much..

New Movie!
22 July 2008

Staring my new film today....! Such great cast and crew! Soooooo fun....already finding our stride, but it's easy when working with such pros. It's nice to just be able to concentrate on the work...this year all of my projects have been such a pleasure. I just read Kanye West's new publication "Thank-you and your welcome" (with J. Sakiya Sandifer) and it is a great one to have around. Lot's of cool stuff in there to check out for sure ..but the one that really stuck with me today was "life is 5% what happens and 95% how you react!" That one is good because of some of the adversities I've have had to face in this business-it's easy to lose your cool and lash out against people that do you wrong or just act poorly. But when applying this philosophy, it really simplifies things. you learn from those people how to react, and how to conduct yourself. Just makes you stronger, allows you to take your work, and business to the next level. You can't change what happens, but you CAN control how you react. Make sense? Anyway, it does for me, and it helps make sense of Sh*t you know??

So back to set! Have to give a shout out to Micheal Eklund who is a wonderful talent. It's our 3rd time working together and I am thrilled!!! Blood Ties fans out there will enjoy seeing us back together again...this time on the big screen!

Beat goes on
20 July 2008

What up friends?? What's the word? Things have been great since back from Europe. Beautiful weather up here in Vancouver. So I've had little time at the beach, but mostly just super busy with auditions etc. I'm excited to start my next project...I start shooting right away. There will be an update in news soon that you can check out.

A few things to check out? Madonna's new album...wow. Amazing. Everyone knows I'm a huge fan but a few of the tracks are crazy. My fav right now (on replay) is 'the beat goes on'. So inspiring. Also listening to the new 'Collette' CD that I picked up in paris-always a great one.

So now just running around with fittings and make-up tests etc. So... on and on the beat goes with me....

Monte Carlo
24 June 2008

What a trip (click on title for some pics!)

Where do I even start. I am so inspired and alive after being in Europe. After an amazing stay in Monte Carlo we made our way over to Paris. It was such an adventure and unbelievable needed. It's incredible how quickly you can fall into a routine, and not be challenged-and not even know it! My friend and I spent so much time exploring and walking everywhere! But I also did a lot of adventuring on my own. One night to the bridge closest to the Eiffel tower to write and cry and laugh. It was incredible. I found my creativity again, and have found a whole new outlook on life. And isn't that great? I am so excited to be on the flight back home. I am ready to be back.

So okay-work stuff... made a lot of new friends at the festival. It was so luxurious and like nothing I'd ever seen before. Eric and I had a TON of press-which I love-and it was fun to talk about Flash again after so long. I was booked on all new projects immediately after Flash was wrapped, so I hadn't even stopped to say good-bye to it. So it was nice for Eric and I to finish out the series in such a great way. We represented everyone who was a part of it. We represented it well.

I have a ton of photos for everyone to check out. You can also go to "ghetty images" to see red carpet etc. Thank-you to all the fans who came out...your warmth was an overwhelming.

Immediate plans are auditions-soon as I get back. Working on a play for the next month and back to the airport in a week to go meet fans in kalamazoo! Busy, busy but with a new European twist.....

Off to Europe
08 June 2008

Just about to get on the British Airways flight over to London-then onto Nice, to limo over to Monte Carlo!!!! All fist class, all the way, it's pretty crazy. It's hard to believe it's already June 8....time is flying by. I'm travelling with my agent (and friend!) Because it is work for both of us over there-but when work is just doing press and red carpets-it's all good!
Going to Paris after Monte Carlo also...meeting up with friends and shopping etc.

Pretty amazing trip so far...we've already taken tons of pictures of us just checking in and hanging out in the lounge!!

Getting on the plane soon so I'll have to turn my phone off (yikes!) But I'll post as the adventure unfolds.

Exciting News
04 June 2008

Getting ready for my trip over to Europe has been crazy! So many events to attend so just trying to get l my wardrobe etc ready. I'm stoked to be with Eric (Johnson) over there...we will re-unite with many high fives and fun interview!

Auditioning for tons of great roles-a couple of which I've had to pass on because I'll be away-but some great roles coming up that I'm going out for.

A lot of time right now, however, is being spent with my volunteer work. I am currently in talks with Special Olympics of British Columbia! My dream of working with this organization is coming true! My Direction Shine Inc. will soon be a corporate sponsor-and I am thrilled!!! I will post details as they come...in the mean time you can visit specialolympics.com for details on how you can help in your community.

Rainy up here in Vancouver, but I love it. It's actually super refreshing and I love sea wall walks in the rain...ok all. Be well!!

Monday Night - Scene Night
24 April 2008

I know it's been forever since my last blog but I've been back and forth from LA and Van so much it's hard to keep track of. It's a really busy pilot season for me-very fun. A lot of great projects in the works....but I'm superstitious so I'm not talking!

On another note, Monday night was amazing for me. I joined my peers at my acting school for class. It's hard because working is really rewarding-You know being on set, all the technical challenges- but for me I get so much inspiration from my acting coach (Nancy Sivac) and having been on the road filming for so long, I have not been able to do classes. She so graciously incited me join class Monday night to warm up, do exercises, voice and just observe the scenes her students are working on. It is the highlight of my year and I can't wait until the day I can work a scene with them again. (Just can't commit to the full month class yet) It's a supportive, safe place to learn and push yourself in. So thanks to everyone from Mondays class for letting me learn from you.....

Blogging and Name Dropping
07 April 2008

Too much happens in a day to blog! I ran into Fat Joe at Pinkberry, sat next to Ginger Spice at lunch and Arnold Schwarzenegger cut me off in the Barney's New York parking lot! So much action all the time....so I've decided to just write randomly. Well I guess that what's I've been doing, I just won't worry so much about it!

Ate at my favorite place for the 2nd time in one day. Banana Leaf at the "Grove". Best food. Soup, curry (my favorite) and spicy noodles. It's cool too cause Micheal (one of the owners) is a really into Sci-fi he told me he's a fan of mine and has seen a bunch of my work! Really cool, cause we were all talking about seeing Fat Joe, who was right next to us at Pink Berry, and he's said he didn't even know who he was, but that he loved my shows and he was happy that I always ate at his restaurant! It was cool.

I sent out my new fan card to everyone who has written me a fan letter. Thanks so much to all of you who write me...I hope you like the card I sent out! And of course, I will keep answering your letters, they mean the world to me.....

LA LA
04 April 2008

Been in LA for a while now. Super hot and sunny. Great for beach and pool side studies! Been busy with auditions and meetings and working on new scripts etc.

My manager took me (with a group of other actors etc) to the LA kings game last week. It was cool to see a game from a VIP box. Really great way to see the game. Growing up on hockey in Canada and seeing most games from the nosebleeds, it was quite a change...

Then I went to the Dodgers- Red sox game at (Dodgers stadium!) It was my first major league game. What an experience! It's so much more interesting seeing it live. I got way more into it because you can see all that's going on. I loved it....

Party
25 March 2008

What's up! I wasn't going to blog today until I received the best fan letter! Thanks Cheryl (Snyder) for th wonderful letter! Glad you love Blood Ties so much- I do too, and I miss playing coreen so badly! Anyway, thanks for the vote of confidence on my blogging abilities! I will keep 'em coming!

All of my time is being taken up with auditions, negotiating new projects and working on my fan 'mail out'-the time is just flying by. I did however finally party last Friday with friends (for my birthday) we had a crazy impromptu dance party and ended up staying out all night. It's rare for me because I work so much. But it was so fun...however, no pictures! What the hell! No one had a camera! I will get on that, I promise!

What's up.... What a night last night. Smallville was great and the interview after was really fun. Thanks to Kenn, Jim and Jen for having me on the show...

It's good Friday, and therefore a holiday, so I'm just heading out for a walk around the Vancouver sea wall. It's a beautiful day-perfect for saying hello to the ocean...I'm back in Los Angeles next week so I want to get as much Vancouver nature as possible...have a great day everyone!

Worlds Worst Blogger (ME!)
19 March 2008

Okay, I am officially the worst blogger ever! Sorry such huge gaps between blogs but damn, things have been busy! Half way through our week in Alberta (filming Screamers 2) half our cast and crew got really sick! It was really, really cold over there and it just took us all out! So we had a little recovery time and have just finished up. The movie looks great and it was SO much fun! All of us became so close during this film. It was the most professional, kind, talented group of people. We had a great shoot...behind the scenes footage is gonna be pretty funny-especially the outdoors stuff. We all took good tumbles out there in the snow! So funny...anyway, once more photos are cleared, I'll post them!

Now I'm back in Vancouver... Okay, I'm off to meetings...don't forget to watch 'Smallville' tomorrow! If you're part of my mail list- you will receive a special reminder...so join!

Whirlwind life.
03 March 2008

So it's been a fun, but wild week travelling around Canada! Left St Johns after shooting all night and going right the airport to make my way back to Vancouver for auditions and other business that needed to be taken care of...then hopped a plane to calgary to see friend before starting a week of filming in Brooks AB. So now I'm exhausted and thank goodness we have to day off to rest and recharge.

Finally have a photo for everyone to check out! Click the title to view a photo of us on set!

Blue Sky
20 February 2008

Woke up to bright beautiful skies this morning. It's a nice change from the very winter conditions we've been experiencing the last couple of weeks...we had our first day int the studio yesterday and it was funny to go from everyone freezing cold with 5 layers on to really hot inside. We all went abit loopy! But man, our set looks incredible. Still waiting on photo approval from Sony so I can post some set pictures.
